Winter Garden Lawyer
I am a Winter Garden lawyer who focuses on personal injury, wrongful death, and appeals/motion drafting.
Tina Willis, Esq.
Tina primarily handles personal injury (including both trial and appeals), wrongful death, and appeals/motion drafting.
After graduating from Florida State University College of Law in 1995, where she finished second in her class, Tina joined two large Atlanta law firms where she practiced employment and insurance defense, as well as disability law. One of those firms was one of the top 100 largest firms in the country. In that position, she primarily represented medium and large business in defending claims brought against them. She later taught both advanced legal writing and civil procedure as a law professor at Barry University. She spent many years helping other attorneys draft critical documents involving complex issues in major litigation and very high dollar cases before she finally decided to open her own practice. She still works collaboratively with several other attorneys on serious injury and death cases, at no additional cost to her clients (the attorneys split the same fee).
Working as a team with two other serious injury lawyers, and very well-trained staff, collectively they have recovered many multi-million dollar outcomes for their clients. Ms. Willis also used to routinely defend multi-million dollar cases on behalf of large corporations.
However, she is quick to explain that the highest value cases involve the most serious injuries (or wrongful death). And they require a defendant with a high value insurance policy, or a corporate defendant.
Ms. Willis refers clients to other lawyers when another lawyer has a greater specialization (such as specialized injury cases). She considers knowing which lawyer would be best for your particular case part of her services. Whenever she refers to another lawyer, she stays jointly responsible for the case, monitors the case, and is available for questions, should you have any. She is extremely selective when referring any cases to other injury or malpractice lawyers.
Because of Ms. Willis’ background working in some of the largest law firms in the country, she knows how big corporations and large insurance companies operate.
Personal Interests
Ms. Willis is a serious distance runner & athlete. If you spend much time in Winter Garden, you have probably seen her running on the West Orange Trail.
In her spare time, she loves traveling in an RV with her husband and 3 cats. (They often travel to destinations where they find new running trails.) She loves animals especially her cats. Her and her husband often camp in their RV on the ocean.
Her community involvement has included about four years of work as a volunteer for a local non-profit medical clinic for the poor, called Shepherd’s Hope. At Shepherd’s Hope, she was selected as Volunteer of the Year and eventually promoted to the position of clinic manager, where she worked one night per week until her law practice left her too busy to continue. Tina brings that same level of commitment and care to her legal clients and their cases and will do everything possible to help you.
